Description
This workshop is a must for small business owners with employees, or those who are planning to hire. Join Martin Wissmath, an Associate with Carters Professional Corporation in Orangeville, as he discusses the various ways to hire workers for your business. Learn about the legal difference between employees, dependent and independent contractors. We'll discuss how each classification impacts workers’ rights and the potential liability for misclassifying an employee as a contractor. Participants will also learn how to write an effective employment contract and review the Employment Standards Act and other relevant regulations.
