SUMMARY:Collaborative Communication: From triggers to teamwork: small shifts that transform disconnection into collaboration.
DESCRIPTION:Collaborative Communication is a practical\, engaging 2-hour online workshop that helps participants notice and interrupt common communication and listening habits that quietly create disconnection especially when emotions enter the room.\n\nGrounded in principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC)\, this session invites participants to become more aware of how workplace culture\, schooling\, and "professional" norms have shaped the way they listen\, respond\, and speak under stress. Many of these habits are automatic\, well-intended\, and surprisingly ineffective.\n\nRather than teaching participants how to manage emotions\, this workshop reframes emotions as useful signals indicators that a habitual pattern is being activated. Participants learn how to recognize these cues in themselves and others\, pause with intention\, and respond in ways that increase understanding rather than escalation.\n\nThe focus is not on fixing conversations or memorizing new strategies & scripts\, but on making small\, meaningful shifts that help people feel more present\, more grounded\, and more likely to understand and be heard.\n\nPLEASE NOTE: Completion Certificates for 2 hours of professional development will be provided upon request. Please see FAQ below for additional information!
