The Think Local market is regulated by Public Health Inspectors. Vendors may be a mix of ready to eat food, craft vendors, and local services. We will be working within public health guidelines to keep vendors and customers safe. We are a rain or shine market and we expect that you will be there rain or shine unless we give you notice that the market will not proceed due to severe weather conditions. Health and Safety is taken very seriously and we expect all vendors to be in compliance. We are permitted to sell, food that is take away, consumed offsite, or cook at home meals – snacks. Vendor booths are 10'x10'; vendors supply own tables and tent if wanted; 10' space between vendors; one-way traffic; Outdoor markets, including farmer’s markets and holiday markets, that meet the following conditions:
1. They primarily sell food to the public.
2. Products must only be provided to patrons, in a manner that allows members of the public to remain in an outdoor area at all times, or through an alternative method of sale that does not require patrons to enter the indoor area.
3. If an area at the market is covered by a roof, canopy, tent, awning, or another element, at least two full sides of the entire area must be open to the outdoors and must not be substantially blocked by any walls or other impermeable physical barriers.
We will be kicking off the summer with a new and exciting community event that you won't want to miss. The "Think Local Market" will feature vendors of local food, goods, and services created by Dufferin's small business community.
