One position - 8 weeks @ 30 hours per week @ $17/hour

The Dufferin Board of Trade (DBOT)’s social enterprise, the Dufferin Biz Hub is hiring a Social Enterprise Co-Ordinator Summer Student to…
  • Greet guests to the Biz Hub Social Enterprise, and direct them to their appointment, rented space, or mailbox location;
  • Give tours of the Biz Hub and provide information to prospective Biz Hub clients;
  • Assist with providing administrative support services offered to Biz Hub clients;
  • Coordinate workshop sessions for Biz Hub clients, with the facilitator, to increase the number of local businesses that are recognized as LGBTQ+ Safe Spaces, Environmentally-Responsible Businesses, Socially Responsible Businesses, or Accessible Businesses;
  • Promote the corporate values of our social enterprise to all clients;
  • Ensure the Biz Hub space is organized, tidy, well-stocked, and accessible for all clients; and
  • Other related duties as assigned or required.  
 
 
Candidates must
  • be eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs Program:
    • be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
    • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and,
    • have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
  • have reliable transportation to destinations throughout Dufferin County (mileage reimbursed); &
  • be able to work with minimal supervision using independent discretion and judgment.
