Ferguson Auctioneering and Appraisal in business for 41 years is looking for someone with some accounting background to work an auction to help register customers and get their information, issue a bidder card, check out customers at the end of the sale. This is a part time position and usually is on a Saturday.
Specifically looking for someone for May 24th for the day. This position would be great for a retiree who has had accounting, customer service and or banking experience. The job could also require if necessary to clerk for the auction. This known as a description clerk will be responsible for working closely with the auctioneer and writing down what is being sold in real time. This job requires clarity in writing and the ability to work quickly as we sell items at a very fast pace and takes focus to do this position. Clerking is outside and sometimes we work in inclement weather conditions. Sales are usually held onsite and will require travelling to the job site.
