Maintenance Person

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • To own, maintain and repair the hotel’s guest rooms and other areas on a preventative maintenance program
  • Guest Room Preventative Maintenance Program to be followed comprehensively that includes complete servicing and maintenance of guest rooms and other areas as per standard
  • Ensure proper documentation of PPM of all guest rooms
  • Maintain HVAC equipment filter change program
  • Assist tradesmen when needed
  • To have complete knowledge of hotel fire standards and procedures
  • Do housekeeping maintenance calls when required and or projects
  • Report broken or misused equipment to Maintenance Manager
  • Organize inventory of parts necessary for this position
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must work well without supervision
  • Working shifts may rotate between morning, afternoon and evening shifts.
  • Some construction trade background in carpentry, plumbing and electrical would be an asset
  • Must work well without supervision
  • Building Maintenance field education
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • Previous experience in hotel operations including guest service experience an asset
