Small Engine Technician (Recreational Vehicles (ATV, SxS, Snowmobile, Off-road Bikes), Motorcycles, Lawn and Garden Equipment)

Permanent, Full Time, Day, Occasional Weekend
Wage: $$ to $$ hourly (wage reflects knowledge, qualifications, and certifications), 40.00 hours per week. Some overtime available.
Larry’s Small Engines seeks a skilled and/or licenced small engine mechanic with the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of small engine and recreational vehicles with precision and efficiency.
Job Responsibilities: Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and successfully repair them; test, inspect, repair, adjust, and maintain engines. Perform routine maintenance. PDI new machines and power equipment, Use computer for diagnostic software systems. Maintain legible work orders and record time, repairs made and parts used. Keep work station clean and organized, other duties to be assigned as needed.
Qualifications: Possess at a minimum a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Possess a diploma or completion of apprenticeship program as Small Engine Technician and/or Motorcycle Technician. Completed apprenticeship of Marine Engine Technician considered an asset. BRP Master Technician status considered an asset. Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications. Valid Class G Driver’s Licence, Class M Driver’s Licence considered an asset. Must have own mechanic tools and tool box. Work independently or cooperatively as a team with fellow employees. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing regarding repairs. Attention to detail a must.
Experience: 6mos-1 year post completion of apprenticeship, but are willing to train the right applicant.
