About Us

The Art of Storytelling (AOS) is an award-winning video production and photography company based in Orangeville, Ontario. We help municipalities, hospitals, not-for-profits, corporations, and schools across Ontario and Canada communicate what matters most through strategic video and photography.

With over 20 years of experience, we take a strategy-first approach to every project. Before a camera is turned on, we work with clients to define goals, audiences, platforms, and the right storytelling approach. That process is what makes our work effective, not just good-looking.

Our services include stakeholder storytelling, patient experience videos, municipal communications, internal communications, safety training, fundraising campaigns, event coverage, social content, and documentary film production.

AOS was founded in 2018 by James and Miranda O'Connor. James is an award-winning director and photographer with international experience including ESPN, Red Bull, Nestle, BP, GE, and official FIFA World Cup photography. Miranda leads strategy and client development. Together they have built a boutique practice trusted by organizations that need more than a camera operator. They need a strategic partner.
