The Town of Shelburne is a vibrant community located in the County of Dufferin at the intersection of Highway 10 and Highway 89. Shelburne is the fastest growing town in Ontario and the second fastest growing town in Canada (Stats Canada 2016). Shelburne's rapid growth offers a unique opportunity for new businesses to grow and share in our communities development. Additionally, Shelburne is the urban hub for residents in the northern part of Dufferin County, approximately 10,000 consumers, from surrounding communities, visit Shelburne on a weekly basis for shopping, dinning, medical services and employment etc.
Shelburne has several manufacturing plants; KTH is the area's largest employer with over 500 employees who produce automotive parts for the Honda plant in nearby Alliston. Another major employer in the area, Blue Mountain Plastics has developed a unique and innovative recycling facility that recycles plastic from municipal recycling programs into new water bottles for their sister company, Ice River Springs.
Shelburne is well known for the annual Heritage Music Festival (Canadian Old Time Fiddle Championship) which has been operating since 1950. The event attracts fiddlers and performers from all over North America.
