Chamber of Commerce Administrator (Canada Summer Jobs)
Duration: 9 weeks (30 hours/week)
Wage: $18/hour
About the Role
We are seeking an organized, creative, and hands-on Chamber of Commerce Administrator to support our business services, membership engagement, and community programming. Working in our office in Mono, under the mentorship of the Communications Manager and Executive Director, you will gain practical experience in administration, event coordination, and economic development.
A key part of this role will also support our growing social enterprise, including our engraving and sign business. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has an eye for design, and is interested in creative production and crafting.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with daily administrative tasks (email, phone inquiries, contact/database management)
• Provide logistical support for events and programs (career fairs, workshops, networking events)
• Assist with research on business needs, workforce development, and local sector opportunities
• Prepare and distribute business resources and communications
• Provide front-line support to local businesses and community partners
• Assist with production and operations of the engraving and sign social enterprise, including hands-on creative work 
and basic fabrication

Qualifications
• Interest in business, administration, marketing, or a related field
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Creative, hands-on, and interested in crafting or making things
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must have a reliable vehicle
• Must live in or very close to Dufferin County

Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) Eligibility
Applicants must:
• Be 15–30 years of age at the start of employment
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada
• Be available for the full 9-week term
